Forgive us if this sounds like an ad, but it's nice to see some good old classics rising up amidst all the next-gen
hype. If you're a fan of the point-and-click adventure genre, or simply living in the past, chances are you've played
and loved the Broken Sword games. Although without the
fanatical followers that LucasArts' titles have attracted,
many an hour has been delightfully spent with George Stobbart in Paris unravelling the mysteries of the Knights
Templar.
The good news is that the first game, Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars, is now available for Palm OS, so
you can play it on the move. As the point-and-click genre lends itself excellently to touch screens, perhaps there will
be further ports and platforms in the offing.
Monkey Island can already run on the DS, so let's
hope we'll see some other classic adventure titles from the same era making the jump to portable.
