In an interview that's sure to provide rich fodder for the
would-be game censors of the world, 50 Cent encouraged parents to buy his upcoming M-rated game biopic
Bulletproof for their kids with this advice: "Play the game and explain to them what they are playing."
50 (aka Curtis Jackson) has been an innovator not only in the music world, but also in the games space with the first
PSP-optimized web site for a major motion picture. His
statements, while controversial, were also in line with what many gamers already believe: "I think everyone knows that
a game is a game…. The person that's influenced by a video game can be influenced by anything." Those are some wise
words there, Fitty.
This follows the removal of billboards promoting his gun-toting flick Get Rich or Die Tryin' in
Philadelphia and
L.A. following community
protests.
