Financial site Bloomberg has compiled a list of quotes from Bill Gates, who's been firing out soundbites like crazy this week. One of the most interesting shows his view that the next-gen war won't be decided until the end of 2007, despite Microsoft's early headstart:"By the end of 2007, you'll have kind of a sense of how much did Microsoft increase its market share: dramatically, not so dramatically, did Sony mess up, what happened?"
However, Bill is confident. He calls the 360 the "hottest product we've ever had" -- users may well agree on that point -- and thinks that the early launch will help the 360's campaign for dominance. "Last time we were the new entrant, we didn't have credibility, we came in late. Everyone agreed we had the better box. Here we think we have the better box and we're shipping first."
