Twins drown while father is gaming
A Fostoria (Ohio) man pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts
of involuntary manslaughter in connection to the drowning-deaths of his 10-month-old twins. On August 7, Gregg J.
Kleinmark, 24, left his sons unattended in a bathtub for 30 minutes while he played a "computer game" three rooms
away. One report suggests that Kleinmark was playing a Game Boy Advance, which as we know, is portable and could
have been just as easily used in the bathroom while supervising the infants. Kleinmark is facing up to 10 years in
prison.

This guy should be drowned in battery acid for this.

How do you let children DIE because of a videogame? You had these kids, you took care of them, you have photographs and videos of your kids and then you let them die by playing a videogame?
Can you imagine being the mother and telling your family your children died because your husband was playing gameboy? I couldnt even imagine the grief the woman is having.
This fucking planet needs to get a grip on reality with this gaming shit.If gaming literally CONTROLS your life then I suggest you hang yourself with the powercord from your Xbox for being such a piece of shit to let your kids die (and don't think you're excluded Japan, you're the worst of the bunch).

What an idiot. Why would you leave two 10 Month old infants in the tub by themselves to begin with??? You don't have time to game unless you had the portable which they're reporting he had. What a shame and an unecessary loss of life.

That's really sad, he can't put it on pause for 10 seconds to go check his kids. What has this world come to.

This man needs to be tied to a fence and stonned for eternity. There is no excuse for this mishap. There is a time and place for everything and apparently this FOOL did not know.

Ont he plus side, the sexual activity of most hardcore gamers should prevent this from happening too often.

OK let me get this straight, he puts 2 small toddlers in a bathtub who'd probably couldnt even walk yet alone swim. Just to runs off to play gameboy which is portable and could easily be played in the bathroom while he could be supervising his children, even if he was that desperate.
Diemer @ Dec 18th 2005 10:01PM
They should drown that bitch. As a father the first rule of tub time is NEVER leave the child ever. What a waste of sperm.
homer @ Dec 18th 2005 10:01PM
with a father that stupid, those kids were doomed from conception.
Nick @ Dec 18th 2005 10:01PM
What a ridiculous thing to have happened, where on earth did this guy learn about parenting? Playing a gameboy while your kids are in the bath?!
He's got the worst punishment possible though - he'll have to spend the rest of his life carrying the knowledge that he is responsible for the death of his own children. Hard to imagine how bad that must feel, but I'm guessing it's much worse than the battery acid or stoning suggested above.
ZeroCorpse @ Dec 18th 2005 10:01PM
This is why people shouldn't have kids until they're at least 30.
Ideally, never.
Because- y'know- parenthood is overrated.

well i have 2 kids and im 26 and have commen sense enough to know not to leave a baby or babies in a tub....joystiq made a good point the damn thing is portable,he could of gone in the bathroom and played while watching the kids but if they were 10 months you need to be near them not playing video games....i have a 2 year old and would never leave her in the tub by herself...my 5 year old on the other hand can be left in the tub but 10 months old!!! what the hell man...the guy should get life in prison for that not just 10 years...so basically he gets 5 years per kid, thats messed up....he should get life....sorry but im a father and think that is a lowlife....
robotplague @ Dec 18th 2005 10:01PM
Jesus fuckin christ...I absolutely cannot stand these stories that only Joystiq seems to post. Yes, video games were related, yes shit like this happens. I'm not saying that this stuff shouldn't be reported, it should (but on this site?), I think it's lame to post every story involving video games on this site. "Man shoots up store, steals a video game", "Woman has cancer, likes to play video games", "Child beaten up, PSP stolen". We know that video games are everywhere, just like music movies or any other form of popular culture...just because a story involves gaming and some sort of theft/violent/neglect act occurs because of that gaming it doesn't necessarily mean I want to hear about it on this site. If I go to a music blog I'm not going to see the headline "Twins drown while father is listening to music". or "Man breaks into Best Buy, steals CDs". It's a popular medium, get used to the fact that gaming has infiltrated mainstream culture...theres no need to report this random bullshit when theres no ties besides someone playing video games. who care? if he was spending too much time fixing his car I wouldn't see this on a car blog.

As a father I agree. This loser is going straight to hell, and good riddance to bad rubbish. There is no game, no phone call, no TV show, no console made EVER, that is more important than my children. Give him life, and let him sit and rot to wonder whats more important in life.

I live in Toledo, OH. The Toledo Blade reported that he was playing a computer game. The article said that data from the hard drive shows that he played for 30 minutes straight before the boys died and shut the computer down 2 minutes after calling 911. He apparently had enough presence of mind to try to hide is actions.
