So you're making fun of Sony and PSP by saying it's only good for keeping your XBox 360 from failing on you?

Funny.

Well, at least my PSP works.

My power supply is face-down on carpet under a mess of wires and a piece of plywood. No overheating problems at all, despite marathon gaming sessions. What's the deal?

I've seen a bunch of pictures of people doing this, isn't this a huge fire hazard? I mean it doesnt seem too smart to me to stick something that gets that hot on top of something flammable.

Being a computer technician for over twenty years, I dont really think its a good idea to tell people to put a potential fire brick on top of a cardboard tinderbox......just a thought.

I sent you guys some "news tips" about this, and that was a day ago. If you did use my idea, where's the credit?

I'd imagine that the Xbox 360 power brick has been UL tested and approved.. It should never become anywhere near hot enough to ignite anything on the outside of it's plastic case. I wouldn't worry about putting that near cardboard at all. 3/4 of the entertainment system furniture out there are made of wood or pictue paper covered particle board.. Is that so different? Have fun.

That be rich beyond words. :)

"We didn't start the fire (the Xbox did). It was always burning, since the world's been turning..."

haha, i like how the psp kid goes through the steps of a satirical newspost out loud.

"So you're making fun of Sony and PSP by saying it's only good for keeping your XBox 360 from failing on you?"

And of course, like anyone trying to 'campaign' for a different product, he say's its the "only" way to keep the xbox 360 from failing. Which obviously isn't true, less than 1% of the PSU's fail, and the vast majority could operate from the carpet, covered by wires, game cases, cans, maybe a sock or two, etc, etc....
