The Movies: Machinima gets political
The film studio simulation game The Movies has
only been out for a short time, and it's already being used to carry political messages. One of the game's key
qualities is its online element, which allows would-be
movie moguls to publish and share their creations online.
"The French Democracy" is one such creative effort—a movie about the
recent French riots, it manages to be both
heartwarming and insightful while also making a strong political statement.
Collision Detection has an
in-depth look at the film. This shows how powerful the tools provided by The Movies can be; if it's piqued
your interest, there are already several other excellent offerings to
view. If you've ever wondered about making your own
machinima, now might be the time.
Magnifique.

This game looked great and I was very pumped to buy it but after what happened with Black and White 2... I'm never buying a lion head game ever again.

I don't know what, if anything, to make of this observation, but I realized towards the end that there wasn't a single female character in the film.
Again, I'm *not* trying to draw any conclusions; I just found it interesting.

It may well be that the maker did not have any female stars available for the film. In "The Movies", there are no gender restrictions; I found myself making a love story between two women for one of my first flicks. Bring it on.

The guy in the photo looks like he is comparing dandruff shampoos - Selson Blue on one side, Head & Shoulders on the other.

10 years ago a movie making "game" called Microsoft 3D Movie Maker came out and even to this day people create movies for it and fansites still exists.
Today we have this generation of easy-to-make movies and it's pretty cool!
