It's not often that server admins take matters into their own hands, but sometimes a soldier's gotta do what a
soldier's gotta do. Protesting the lack of support by Activision and Infinity Ward for the
Call of Duty 2
series of games, including the current absence of an anti-cheat system, players plan to strike on the 16th of December
unless an official statement is made before then.
While strikes work to great effect in real-world situations,
it remains to be seen how effective the threat of several 24-hour shutdowns will be on the publisher and developer, and
how far players are prepared to go to elicit changes in the game.
