Eliot over at hack a day has posted very thorough first impressions of his brand new Xbox 360 and, as someone who's no stranger to Xbox hacking, he's a bit reluctant. It's great to unleash a hacker's curiosity on this box; he tests keyboards, mice, Wi-Fi dongles, iPods, cameras, and more. While he aims his most pointed critiques at the 360's "crippled" media streaming features, he also offers some great suggestions/hopes for improvements, including "groups" functionality for Live friends, and support for upnp av servers (for Mac and Linux users).
If the media and HDTV features haven't sold you already, he recommends waiting for a lower price, more games, less bugs, and maybe even Linux support.
