One of our tipsters was recently "relieved of his duties" from Electronics Boutique for sending
Joystiq some Xbox 360 shortage pics a couple of weeks ago. While this is a first for us, here
are some things you should know about safe tipping:
-
Tips are awesome. We send a big shout out to all who've sent some in so keep up the good work.
-
Be careful what you send in via tips. We want to hear from you, but if you've got a story that could get you into hot water, remove identifying information from it prior to sending it, or provide handling instructions, such as "blot out the store address."
-
Use common sense. If you need the income that a job provides (ain't that most of us?) then take adequate precautions.
-
There's a job opening at a certain EB Games, but who'd want to work there?
