The bloggers over at Cinematical have an interesting take on the idea of the Xbox 360 becoming the distribution model of the future. Ben Fritz of Variety has some valid points that could land Microsoft at the center of everyone's entertainment needs. He says that at some point we should keep an eye out for downloadable content beyond just games, as in movies too. Xbox Live brings a lot to the table in terms of content delivery, so I don't see why this couldn't take off in days to come. However, if this were to eventually become a viable concept, should we expect a larger storing capacity for the 360?[Thanks, Karina]
