In 2017, Tobey Maguire will be 42 and hopefully retired from
the Spider-Man gig. But with Spider-Man 3 slated for a 2007 release, there is no end in sight—Activision
wouldn't want it any other way. Spider-Man 2 (the game) was a huge success for the company, becoming the
top-selling movie-based video game in 2004, which was enough to convince Activision to secure the rights to film
and television-based Spider-Man video games for the next 12 years.
