Giga Pack boosts PSP sales in Japan

Amid reports on the strong showing of the latest Gundam Seed PS2 title and the Nintendo DS version of that pocket monster game whose name always escapes me, is a small bit of news regarding the PSP Giga Pack and how its launch allowed it to hit an impressive 35% market share with Japanese buyers. That means one out of every three gamers in Japan has a PSP, which is more than what we can claim for the Gizmondo in the States (yeah, we like kicking people when they're down). But try as we might, we can't deny the fact that the DS still outsells the PSP at a 39% market share. But we bet if more people had a copy of Brain Trainer Portable we'd be laughing heartily from within the borders of Victoryville and Smacktalkland. We can always hope, right?
