In response to Xbox 360 replenishment questions, a Microsoft spokesperson said, "We don't want to get into short
term projections right now because any number we provide will become grossly outdated very soon. Retail
replenishment varies market to market and consumers should check back with their retailers frequently."
The spokesperson went on to say that the company is working "around the clock" to get more 360's out week after week.
Is this type of reply meant to leave consumers worried about a shortage, hence encouraging higher demand? Or is it just
legitimate inventory problems?
