While most of our memories playing real-life pinball in arcades are limited to flipping paddles wildly in the hope that we'll hit something, being able to take the game on the road is nonetheless a welcome advantage. Pinball Hall of Fame is based on the Gottlieb line of pinball machines, the very same ones you probably ended up passing over for Galaga and Ms. Pacman. Sure, the gameplay might be dated, but the "quick fix" mentality of short games of pinball are pretty much a match for intermittent bursts of PSP gaming.
If you're as cheap as we are (okay, *I* am), you'll also like the ability to do game sharing with a buddy with only one game disc between you. The game can also be played vertically, which may translate to a rather awkward grip on the PSP. But like Ikaruga before it, it's still a nice option to have. Other another front, while I appreciate the concept of "edutainment" as much as the next geek, the inclusion of a bevy of "historical art and fun facts" just seems like a feature only true pinball fanatics will love.
Curious? Extremely disinterested? Treat yourself to a few minutes of visual titillation anyway after the jump.

And here's how it'll look played vertically:
