This is oltranzista’s wife and I thought I’d share:
I went with him to pick up the games after it was finally resolved and when they handed him the long receipt we both noticed some account notes on it but just glanced at it. Being that we have both worked in customer service in the past we thought we would read it and get a good laugh about the “HE UNDERSTANDS HE CAN’T… BLAH, BLAH, BLAH since we remember writing notes like that. So in the car he handed it to me and I read it to him (laughing as I went on) he thought I was making it all up. He laughed so hard when he read it for himself. This gave us a good laugh for quite a while. He said he wanted to post it for all to share. Needless to say that he is not offended by it or trying to get some sort of settlement for being called an idiot. I did suggest that he send it to corporate so that manager could be reprimanded or re-trained. Because people who don’t know how to do there job and act like the customer is in the wrong or trying to scam them because they don’t understand their own computer history (especially a manager) should be talked to. Trust me we really were not scamming anyone or even being rude for that matter, this is just a funny story about really bad customer service

"I actually tried to call it all off and get my newly traded in games back but they said that wasn't possible?? (wtf?)"

Yeah, that's right. That's why it says (in bold print IIRC) on the Trade Authorization Form something to the effect of "I acknowledge that all trades are final."

I know English, but my comments have bad spelling too...the keyboards at BBV are horrible. Although, yes, they are called "presales." As in, he had to type PRESALE into the computer to ring up the presold PDZs.

Also, I find it odd that the employee didn't know how to apply trade-in credit to a presale. Because there is *nothing to know*. In fact, if there were a credit on an account, and someone asked me to ring up their presale without using the credit, I wouldn't really be able to. To put it through the computer, I'd have to use up the credit, then have them prepay to put a balance _back_ onto the account.

The more I hear of this, the more I want to call shenanigans.

Stupid customers piss me off, stupid employees piss me off even more! I hope he gets fired and made fun of for being "what a idiot". If you're going to trash someone, at least don't look/sound more useless then they are.

Agreed in the Store thing. If it's 5 to 6 and you want a cell phone, I will sell you one and stay on shift 25 extra minutes. If you come in and it's 5 to 6 and you're going to spend 15 minutes looking around and finally buying a video cable, I'm going to want to hurt you. We get paid minimum wage jerk, not get paid to cater to your every whim.

As for Blockbuster... good for him. Even though he was a tard for printing out his comments, who preorders video games from Blockbuster's anyway? But the entire reciet looks shady. I agree with the manager. I've worked retail for 5 years and I have little patience for customers who change their minds like that and /or try their best to screw you over when I can help normal customers in the meantime.

And Blockbuster's rocks for previewed DVDs... I've picked up plenty of movies for $6.99 that play just fine.

Blockbuster licks balls! That is why I don't go there. You should see some of the people that work there. They look like a scene out of "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest".

Wow. I actually work AT that blockbuster. I saw it the first time you went in there to trade out your presales and the short red-haired girl (name with-held) was having a hard time figuring it out for you. I should have went and did it myself. Sorry. I was busy re-pricing games.

On the other hand, that reciept that she gave you was against company policy for her to give you. I'm not saying she was right to put that on there, but whichever employee gave it to you, wasnt supposed to. That's a history reciept and it's supposed to be used for company use only. People DO try to scam us all the time (I.E. Buying games on discount and then briging them back for full credit) so we have to be on the lookout every time someone wants to do a credit. Trust me, people try to scam companies every single day with similar situations.

The manager was a lady, and the other Assistant manager just called me to tell me what was going on, and my friend I was telling it to said he JUST heard something like this on the internet, and what do ya know...it's here lol.

Captainkhyron I wish you did help me that time because damn this was a pain to deal with. You're right that was the cashier that helped me.

Everyone at your store has been courteous to me (even though two employees did have trouble taking my trade-ins) but I understand how bad training can screw things up so I didn’t hold anything against the cashiers that had problems. I blame it on to bad MANAGEMENT that can’t get their employees trained correctly. I suppose if you don’t know the system well enough yourself how can you train your employees eh?

Like I said, everyone that works there have been cool with me up until that phone call with the manager and those unprofessional comments on my account history. My wife and I both play Xbox (have Xbox LANs too) and I guess it looks weird that I come there trading in multiple copies of the same game but hey.

I have never said I was going to “sue” (the idea of suing over name calling is plain ridiculous) or demand to get someone fired despite what other posters have suggested. I do think that the manager(s) should be spoken to so that other honest customers have to mess with their BS.

I smell a lawsuit. Always remember when calling someone a name to first say, "I think you are" then "an idiot" or whatever. You have a right to freedom of speech and thinking, but you don't have a right to practice medicine or insult anyone like that. You can't PROVE he's an idiot. Big mistake.

Yeah I should have taken care of you. Only problem is, I'm the only Gamerush employee left, so the 1 or 2 days I actually get to work over there, I've got 3-4days worth of stuff to catch up on usually.

The training I blame on the company actually. It's gone WAY downhill in the past few years. When I was trained, I could run the store by myself after my 3 days of training (and pretty much had to most of the time). Now, they train people with a 4-hour orientation, and are pretty much like "Go at it!" So it kind of sucks for everyone else.

I was the guy who held that hard drive and that copy of tony hawk for you (even though it's against policy, I just treat gamers a little better lol).

acutally #20 i also work at blockbuster and if you do the print hist command you get the history and yes the comments left by other employee's will show up in the hist. and yes this is the norm. comments are written like this all the time. it seems like the kid was pre-ordering one thing and trying to get other things instead of what was pre-ordered. this is also the norm. ppl try to take advantage. it's just a matter of dealing with it the right was. i would have called him a fucking idiot!!! then comment on how his mother is an anal whore :) but thats just me
