In the first quarter of 2006, Nokia will release Space
Alliance, a 3D MMOG sci-fi action game, available on select Java-enabled cell phones via the Nokia SNAP service.
Space Alliance will unite mobile gamers in an effort to thwart a large-scale alien assault. But this ain't no
multiplayer Space Invaders, aside from blasting alien scum, Alliance players must construct starbases
and fighter factories, build automated defenses, and respond to distress signals.
Players can also maintain a friends list, chat, and keep up-to-date with leader boards and community news boards. A live moderator ties it all together with the ability to add new elements to the game, in addition to updating the Space Alliance blog where players can dig deeper into the history of this particular galaxy. All of this, on your cell phone.
