November game industry sales data to be revealed at the end of the week are expected to be
"surprisingly bad" according to Banc of America analyst Gary Cooper as quoted by Dow Jones Newswires.
The short article doesn't get into root causes for the disappointing sales, but we're thinking that maybe gamers pinched pennies this month to afford a certain new console that was just released.
Cooper expects the following titles to post disappointing sales versus expectations:
-
True Crime (Activision)
-
PSP hardware sales (Sony)
-
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Electronic Arts)
-
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (Activision)
-
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (Activision)
-
Various Take Two sports titles
