Sony plans to bring its fast-paced PSP action title, Pursuit
Force, to North America next spring. Pursuit Force was released earlier this month in Europe, scoring
average reviews from critics (see Joystiq's
roundup)—curiously, those reviews starting cropping up some time before the retail release.
GameSpot claims that the North American version of Pursuit Force is still in shop at UK-based Bigbig Studios, so perhaps the game's receiving a tune-up before it crosses the pond. GameSpot might have named Pursuit Force the Best PSP Game of E3 2005, but, if we can trust our European counterparts, this first attempt has fallen short.
UPDATE: Sony has revealed that the North American version is getting a difficulty tune-up (or rather, tone-down), as well as an image-saving feature that will allow players to access unlocked game images via the PSP's "Home" interface.

Yesterday, Gamespot asked BigBig if the US version of Pursuit Force would be different from the UK version:
GS: North American gamers will be getting their hands on Pursuit Force much later than their UK counterparts. Can they look forward to any bonus features not found in the European version?
RH: We're using the majority of that time to really tune the difficulty of Pursuit Force, as that was one of the main concerns with the European version. But, one feature not available in the original version is the image-saving feature. We're allowing players to save the images that they've unlocked in the gallery to the images folder on the memory stick so that they can view them outside of the game and also use them as wallpaper for the PSP, which we think is pretty cool.
