There is no way that kid could sit on the power supply. His butt would be on fire by now. Those things are dangerous!
Oliver @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Shame the X360 appears to be upside down ;)...
pennywise969 @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Mine doubles as a space heater during these cold winter nights.
Mark B @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
LMFAO!!
Sad but true.
jc @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Shouldn't the kid be worried that his feet are blocking the proper airflow on the PSU?
Scott @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Well, that kid sitting his fat butt on the power supply would explain why it overheats.
marcomc2 @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
aah yes, that kid. i know him.
JackkStraw @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
I really don't think it's that big. It does have its own fan. It's really not much bigger than my Vaio power pack.
Not Impressed (Dmitri) @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
The fact that it provides it's own fan should double the comic relief.
Heh. After christmas I can just imagine a comic saying "No need to buy an air conditioner for summer!" -With the power-brick sticking out the window.
Ahahaha.
Bloo @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
With the PS3 being so much more powerful than the 360, can you even imagine how big that power supply is going to be?! Holy Lord!
todd @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Keeps your ass warm.
AceMilo @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Ok, I cannot be the only one who has 0 issues with the psu. My psu doesn't even get warm, even after hours of use, and its on the floor. It's also tucked away so no one has to look at it. God fanboys piss me off. My psu does not get hot, at all, and is silent.
PJ @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
What sucks is that my wife won't let me put my feet on the coffee table or on the power supply!
PJ @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
...she also makes me use a coaster on the power supply...
marcomc2 @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
regulate
Michael McGuire @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
HA! I GET IT! IT'S BIG!
HA HA!
Jody Anthony @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
OH I GET IT ITS FUNNY BECAUSE THE POWER SUPPLY IS SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN EXPECTED.
Really, does anyone at all care?
Jody Anthony @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Damn you, Michael McGuire!
Cyberclaws @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
You $ony Jabronis better chill! Or I will drop my PSU on YOU! Talk about layin' the smackdown! LMAO! Good comic!
vidGuy @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Remove the power supply from the case and this is what you get, a larger than normal PSU. Don't expect the PS3 to have this large of one... it's probably packed all in that home grill of a case.
Seriously, would you rather have a tiny power supply and a 360 almost twice its size? MS obviously did this to reduce the size of the console itself, which is what's showing, not the PSU.
Kye @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Is it me, or is the kid looking straight over and past the tv?
:-S
I wana know what he's looking at!
fildo @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
MS just can't win with their consoles. With the first one it was the controller, and now the PSU on the 360! /sigh
GL @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Some people have too much time on their hands to complain about the size of a power supply. Tuck it behind something and move on.
PJ @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
fildo,
All joking aside, who really cares about the PSU? I mean, I opened my 360, set it up, put the PSU back with all the other cords/wires, and moved on with my life. (by the way, I have checked and mine does not get hot).
A large PSU is a non issue. It is just sitting behind my entertainment center with all my other cords, etc.
scampy @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
That TV doesn't look like a Hi-Def TV.
Lone Starr @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
So I hear 360 is sold out in the UK...
Geof @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
I haven't read any of these posts so i dunno if someone said this already but:
The genious who drew this picture put the 360 upside down. GENIOUS
Bloo @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
"The genious who drew this picture put the 360 upside down. GENIOUS"
You insulted someone's intelligence and then spelled genius wrong... twice
I love irony
Neil @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
I got the UK Xbox 360 today, and after several hours of Gotham I thought I'd test the PSU. I touched it... no burns, I laid my hand flat on it for ten whole seconds... no burns, I even unplugged and hugged it to my face... no burns!
It seems that either the US power supply is totally different, or the US got bunked off with a rubbish version. This thing isn't even hot enough to cause ANY discomfort to my skin when it makes contact with it. It is silent, too.
Rocket Punch @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
#29 110V makes it hotter you 220V freak!
(Disclaimer: That was a joke, I love all UK people especially those naked ladys in motorbike magazines!)
Sorry for my bad english @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Perfect for cold season to get your ass warm up.
Rare Hare @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
why are you people discussing the PSU heating issues?? the comic is about it's massive size.. do you people have to get defensive about everything, even if it isn't brought up?
you don't have to be a Sony fanboy to think this is funny. i want a 360 so bad i can hardly stand it, and i joke about the power supply. it's a comic. it's humorous. laugh a little. grow up.
good comic ;)
Alex K. @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
it's so sad that the only way microsoft can reduce the size of the xbox was to remove the powersupply and stick it outside of the console.
seriously, if you put the powersupply inside the xbox 360, it would probably be as big as xbox 1
PJ @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Alex K.,
You are right. That is SOOO sad, so very, VERY sad.
wait a minute...why is that sad again?
ColdForged @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Gorgeous. Of course, I find it amusing that with all of the things to possibly discuss regarding the 360, it's the power supply that gets the lion's share of attention.
bd @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
360 SUX LOLOLOLOLZ!!!1!11!ELEVEN!!!
I had to say it.
Kye @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM

At least in the UK its ALOT harder to accidentally electrocute ourselves because of our WIERD power supply design.
sidenote - If you like pics of naked women, you should check out our cars magazines, newpapers (yes, true!) tv shows and even our commercials.
I love living in Europe!
mezzotint @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Jody Anthony:
"... Really, does anyone at all care?"
Yes, I do.
I wouldn't want a 360 psu in my living room for the same reason I don't have a Chevy Van on my driveway: It's big, bulky, smelly and ugly. Also it consumes excessive amounts of energy.
Eric N. @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA AHAHAHA HHA AH A AHA HA HAH A HAH AA H AH A HAH A HA H AH AHH AA HA H HAA H AHAH AH HAA H AH HAA ... (the gf thinks I'm crazy cuz of the laughing) HAHA. Oh man that's fricking awesome.
OTAM @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
First everyone complains about the size of the original Xbox controller and this time around it's the powersupply, should I be surprised?
I have to send my Xbox360 back for repairs because it overheats and I'M NOT even complaining as much. It's a high end electronic that requires massive power for it's performance, should I be shocked that it needs a powersupply that big? It's like being stunned that there is a huge, grizzly engine inside of a Ford F350.
omg teh suply box is big loolol @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
I wish public hangings would be reinstated so we could get these "OMG TEH PSU IS BIG LOL!@!!111 PS3 RoXX()RZ MY GRAMER IS GUD" people off the internet.
Wow, a PSU for a powerful piece of hardware is large. How amusing. Gaming comics are so unoriginal because they all poke fun at the same things - oh, the PSU is large. Oh, Jack Thompson is part of the PC Patrol. Get over it, pussies. I can't wait till the PS3 has a large PSU, and the Revolution has shitty graphics.
MK @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
That power supply is poaching his eggs (8O
Spencer @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
Mine is ok It has its own drive way and a fire station just incase. Lets think for a second a mom buys an xbox 360 for her kid for 2,000 on ebay and he gets 30 sec of wow lol. Cant wait for my PS3.
mistahbigstuff @ Dec 18th 2005 9:02PM
