Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) should totally develop a Penny Arcade animated series - video game culture appeals directly towards their demographic of 15-30 year old males and the guys over there have one of the most consistently amusing bodies of work in webcomicdom.

I'm just worried about the quality of the voice actors and also the selection. I'm sure Tim will choose the right people for the right characters.

I probably won't pay $3 to watch a 5 minute short but if he ends up packaging them into some kind of DVD, then I might be willing to put down some cash for them.

same here i love the comics i read them everyday even if they arn't updated. I don't know about paying for them per ep maybe if like others have said on dvd. I would consider it. But 5 mins isn't very long and it should be atleast 10 to get your money worth.

20$ a year still isn't that bad but not worth it. Unless you have some extra cash.

Paying = bulls**t

My recommendation: get some sponsors. Do what the RoosterTeeth guys do. Maybe follow the Boondocks and get yourself on CN. Whatever you do, make sure I'm not paying.

Seriously, call up the Red vs Blue guys and get some business strategy tips.

Wow, I came off like a real a$$ in that last post...

Just to clarify, I definitly think the CAD guys deserve some cashflow for their hardwork, I just feel they're going about it the wrong way.

I'm not going to pay because I CANT pay. I just don't have the spare cash. I really think they could make a lot MORE money by finding a sponsor than relying on gamers like me who had to wait 'til RE4 hit $30 to pick it up...

I hope they do find another way so I can enjoy one of my favorite webcomics in it's animated glory...

What they need to do is to set up advertising to offset the costs and pay themselves for the effort, like the way it works on free broadcast television.

The Homestar Runner folk make their money off of merch.
