First and foremost this is not a U.S. vs. Japan thread. If you hate the U.S., so much, get out of this country and cut your psychiatry losses.
You fail to see that the U.S. is 100% different cultures, with 40% non-Caucasian races, therefore the U.S. cannot be compared to any other nation's culture due to it's immigrant heavy society (all with their own cultures). While I do agree violence is glorified, it does get the ratings; let’s not go so far as to say the U.S. is ashamed of sexuality. The problem is parents are becoming overly protective of their children nowadays due to the advice of all these so called professionals.

On your comparisons of crime in the U.S. and Japan all I have to say is: Japan has 120+ million people while the U.S. has 300+ million people, also the Japanese "hang" (execute) criminals three times the amount the U.S. executes.

Art Guy, while i dont think that using the statistics is really usefull (population difference and what not) I am totally in agreement that people have to realise that different cultures have different views, too many people dont recognise how much of their own thinking is actually molded by their culture and their experiances, people have to realise that what is wrong for us is not for others, no matter how hard other people argue, you cant get away from that fact.

Reminds me of those people who go around screaming "USA is number one!" but have never even left the continent and visited other places in the world to see how others live. Do you know what "per capita" even means???? Look it up.

And if you are going to try and use a statistic, be sure it a real one and not thing you made up. The United States executes almost five times as many people per capita than Japan.

First of all, you need to understand the point first before you dissmiss it, secondly, you need to realise that were NOT talking about them accepting rape and pedophilia as something thats fun for the whole family, were talking about acceptance of sexual things as a whole, so you cant call them a race of perverts for actually having this type of porn.

What's not to understand. Those seemed like good numbers to me. He showed you overall assults, rapes, etc.
And he showed you crime per 1000 people.

Let's see there's about 127,000,000 people in Japan.
While the US has about 281,000,000
(these are populations from the U.S. Bureau of Census in 2000, so there is some error)

So, that divide by the numbers for each of the crimes commited.

Assaults:
US - .782918149%
Japan - .0338582677%

Murders:
US - .00427046263%
Japan - .000501574803%

Rapes:
US - .0316725979%
Japan - .00173228346%

Total crimes:
US - 8.39857651%
Japan - 1.88976378%

So there is more crime commited per population in the US, than in Japan. The numbers are not perfect. But, still, prove a point.

Japan even has less rapes then we do, even though they all watch tenticle rape porn.

Killak, you forget that these aren't even real people we're talking about. In fact, they are whatever age the developer chooses. He can say they're all very young-looking 40 year olds and get away with it. They're not real.

Bra and Panties matches, though staged, still prey upon a male urge that is frowned upon by society. They rip off each others clothing in an attempt to embarass and demean one another while sexually exciting the audience.

It isn't all that different, staged or not. In fact, the largest difference is that these are real life 20-somethings being stripped on national television, while the game is a silly little perverted diversion that will never be a mainstream anything.
