There aren't many major events in the world of interactive fiction, but here we have two in less than a month. A couple weeks ago we brought you the winners of the annual Interactive Fiction competition, and now IF's scholarly superstar Nick Monfort has released a new work, Book and Volume.
While best known for his study of Interactive Fiction, Twisty Little Passages, Monfort is an interactive fiction author himself. Grand Text Auto entices us writing, "...satisfying its early demands is much like puzzling through a riddle that is asked outright, delving more deeply into the work could be seen almost as a process of finding a formulation for a riddle implicit in the work's shape but never directly posed to the reader."
Check out the web edition, or just fire up your favorite interpreter, download the Story File, and go.
