A tip from Tycho on Windows Media Connect

Tycho over at Penny Arcade was having trouble of the "now the PC can see the 360.  Now it can't.  Now it can, but the 360 can't see it" variety. There's a troubleshooting checklist he ran through consisting of:

• install .NET framework 1.1
• verify UPnP is active
• verify the Windows Media Connect service is active

Of course he tried all these things and, of course, none of them solved his dilemna. What could be preventing his precious 360 from playing nice with XP? Well, the picture sort of gives it away but, that's right, it was Nintendo's Wi-Fi USB connector! The device piggybacks Windows' Internet Connection Sharing service, thereby causing all these troubles. So if you're having the same difficulty, remove it and give it another shot.
