In lieu of shelling out the money to get yourself a carrying case, why not take the industrious route and make your own? That's exactly what GTALCSPSP did when he realized he wasn't willing to pony up the dough for a leather case worth more than the UMDs it held. A quick trip to his local craft store to purchase some leather, rubber foam and a bit of wood, and a few hours later he found himself the proud new owner of his very own UMD carrying case. And all for about $20.
According to GTALCSPSP:
It has two UMD slots on either side to accommodate two UMD's. It also has two memory stick slots in the middle with a piece of cloth over them to protect them. The front of the case flips backward when you take off two pieces of Velcro, and the leather strips can then connect in the back to make nice handles for better game-play. You can then take those same leather strips and put them over the edges of the PSP to make a wonderful movie stand.A UMD case that holds extra Memory Sticks, turns into a stand, and protects your PSP? For two tenners? Sounds like a great idea to us.
And we agree with you, G. We shouldn't have to feel forced to buy anything just because it's the only option available.
