SEGA takes 2008 Olympics
SEGA has secured the rights to publish the official video game of the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The deal grants SEGA exclusive publishing rights, which include PC, arcade, and mobile phone platforms. What this means is that you'll be able to play half-assed simulations of fringe sports just about anywhere. That is, unless SEGA can alter the course of the Olympic (video) Games.

I think Sega can do it too. They had a great line of "2k" sports titles. I particularly love NBA2k- series...I also hear great things about the NFL2k- series from football fanatics.
Like the first dude said, if anyone can do it, Sega can!
Thanks,
John

John: Remember, their sports dev teams (Visual Concepts and Kush) were sold to Take 2 shortly after EA bought their way to a pigskin monopoly.
This game will likely be done by another internal team (Smilebit, anyone?).
