Ultima V remake nears completion

According to a recent post on the official Ultima V: Lazarus website, the ambitious remake, five years in development, is "nearly ready." Lazarus is the rebirth of 1987's Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny, built from the ground up using the Dungeon Siege 3D RPG engine and a remastered soundtrack. The remake will include a host of new characters, quests, and plotlines. Lazarus is a nonprofit undertaking, developed by "Team Lazarus" (a group of Ultima fans). Barring a cease and desist order, the game will be available (for free) to owners of the original Ultima V and Dungeon Siege.
