every freakin day you guys always find a way to make me feel better checking out this site for a couple of minutes instead of the hours I'm wasting with one long-term relationship girlfriend. But I still like spending time with my "buddy" gf more, though.

I don't understand why everyone is hating the new game. I absolute loathed the original StarWars Galaxies, But the new one is actually Really fun to play. Its like a nice cross between KotoR and Battlefront. I think the old user base is just pissed off that they wasted all this time on money on a really crappy game Only to have the crappy game replaced years later by a good game.

When MMORPG NERDS ATTACK!!

I beta tested the original, and we testers TOLD them the game was seriously flawed, but they didn't listen.

Now they have a mess on their hands.

I picked this game up the week it came out.

I loved reliving the part in Empire Strikes Back where Han and Chewie spend 18 hours killing rabbits in order to be able to shoot at bigger rabbits better. It was so evocative of Star Wars.

Or it was a sign of how completely derivative and fundamentally flawed this game was from launch.

After two days I was so bored and annoyed I created a toon named Jorge Lukas who astonishingly resembled George Lucas with uncanny realism.

I ran around and suggested to people they could tip me to beat up George to make up for Episode I. I made a ton of money.

Then I ran around asking people to teach me "Screenwriting II"

I got banned and never played again.

It's obvious they're trying to make this SW - WoW now.

I was with #6 and beta tested this game way back when. We told the devs about the bugs, the flaws, and what COULD be done. Instead of fixing the problems, they sang a sweet tune about how the fixes are under way and that everythig would be fine. I played for a year listening to the Devs "The fix is coming soon". Finally, after the CU the game I loved was all gone. I tried playing again from a friend's account after the fresh start... no thanks. I'll stick with WoW... much less buggy.

I'm surprised to see that people STILL refer to SWG as a MMORPG. Let's analyse that acronym shall we?

MASSIVELY MULTI-PLAYER... Well, with people leaving in droves (my friend-list with over 100 entries has only three people still playing), one can now do a /who in Coronet City, Corellia and instead of having "the list was truncated because there were too many players that matched your enquiry", it now says there are THREE players, one of which is yourself.

ONLINE: Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but instead of playing 8 hours per day or more when I have time, I log on for an hour now and then to see if any friends are on, play the trader profession and make some stuff, or lament the loss of all my pets when they cancelled my Profession of Master Creature Handler that I've played and earned over the last two years. There are very few players "online" anymore.

ROLE PLAYING GAME: Sorry, but this is no longer an RPG... It is now an FPS or FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. It is UNREAL TOURNAMENT and DUKE NUKEM with over-sized maps that never reset. Problem is, there are no FPSs that you pay a monthly subscription for, are there? FPSs are FREE to play. You buy the game and then that's IT. You don't keep paying and paying and paying for an FPS. SOE & LA don't deserve your money for this idiocy.

Let's change the acronym to something more honest. Really Uninteresting Idiotic Nonsense Especially Designed From Original Requirements Consequently Augmented with Stupid Hacks, or RUINED-FOR-CA$H

Account Cancelled, refund for ToOW (Mustafar) obtained, waiting for six-month subscription to expire. Grossly disappointed, and vainly hoping they'll revert back to the REAL game so my friends and I can come back and play, but knowing the game is history, and will close soon, and that sometimes it's just kinder to let something die than to try to keep it alive with extraordinary measures.
