Pro-G reports that first week sales of the Xbox 360 indicate that
it has become the fastest selling static (i.e. not portable) console in UK history, surpassing the GameCube. Shortages
or not, the Xbox 360 is not expected to break the PSP's 185,000 unit mark once the exact figures are tallied. Still, it
was an important week for Microsoft and its bid for next-gen domination.
Microsoft should be equally pleased that its first party titles PDZ and PGR3 topped the Xbox 360 software sales chart. But Kameo, Microsoft's other game, only made it to #6. CoD2 and Condemned filled the #3 & #4 spots, with NFS: Most Wanted rounding out the Top 5.
