After some stores were caught ripping off customers, Best Buy's President of retail in North America has issued a formal apology. He says, "... some of our valued gaming customers had an experience in
our stores that was inconsistent with what you’ve come to expect from us." Their experience was "in direct conflict with our desire to serve customers’ needs better than anyone else." He sounds contrite enough, but encourages people to come back to the store, "Last, I would like to invite you back to our stores, particularly later
this month, when Best Buy will receive more shipments of Xbox 360s."I'm sure that Best Buy's policies were overruled by an overzealous store manager, but I also have a feeling that encouraging people to return closer to Christmas time isn't going to help them get any closer to obtaining one!
