PSP Fanboy reader Blue sent us another tip on how to stream MP3s from your Windows machine. His solution involves setting up your PC as a PHP server and installing the PHP RSS Feeder for PSP, which seems easy enough to do, although you may want to pass this one over if you're still having trouble figuring out simple stuff, like tying your shoelaces, or breathing. Here's very roughly what you need to do..Like any other guide that suggests installing strange programs off the Internet, implement these steps at your own risk. Don't say we didn't warn you.
1. Install IIS (Internet Information Services) on your Windows PC. It's under Add/Remove Windows Components under Add or Remove Programs on the Control Panel.
2. Install PHP 5. http://www.php.net/downloads.php
3. Unzip psp_rss_1.0b.zip into your PC's music directory.
4. Share your music folder through the "Web Sharing" tab under your music folder's properties.
5. Make sure your user permissions on the shared folder under the security tab include the user IUSR_PC, this is IIS's default internet guest account.
6. Go to http://youripaddress/yoursharedfolder on your PSP!
[Thanks, Blue]
