Um, ok. Were we talking about hardware or gameplay? I was comparing graphical architecture. Gameplay, yes will depend on
1)Obviously the hardware involved (i.e. the controller
2)The studios developing the game, their creative intentions and aspirations in which they want to bring to the table to differintiate themselves from others.

"they [Nintendo Handhelds] were the only option up until 8 months ago."

really, so the game gear, neo geo pocket color, n-gage, game.com, lynx, TurboExpress, GP32, Tapware Zodiac, Gizmondo, and GP2X never existed.

Alex, if you read my entire blog, i was comparing companies that were actually backed by experianced game developers with liscensing support and software support. I also said that gameboy crusehd the gamegear, the only handheld that i truely believe had a chance until the PSP, but because of the size and horrible power eating problems, people ended up spending more on batteries after a year than what they bought the stupid thing for. That was also FOURTEEN years ago, thus making Gameboy unchallenged in my opinion for every generation of handhelds except the first.
The turbografx handheld, also known as turboexpress had no third party support, but also had another bigger problem by being developed by an unkown company. Same with the GP2x (it also doesn't help being a Linux based operating system) Most accept this as a purely emulation tool for ACTUAL gamesystems (psp, gameboy) So yes i guess you could waste your money a handheld if you didn't want to play any games. Same goes with all of tigers handhelds; ie. game.com, gizmondo etc. It's tiger. A nobody, it's not even competition. They hardly have any games coming out for it or major support. I dunno if you thought about this, but i would say for a handheld gaming system to be an option, it would have to be available in the United States. The GP32 and the neo geo, and wonderswan etc. aren't even available to buy here in the US (the biggest gaming market now). and finally, NGAGE?!!? Are you serious!??!?! IT'S A CELL PHONE!

Ummm...correct me if I am wrong but isn't the company "Tiger" that made the Gizmondo different from the ones who made the Game.com?

Could be. I guess if two seperate "handheld" producers happened to have the exact same name. It's happened before.

Does anyone have money for next generation gaming? I'm so poor and Nintendo revolution is my only viable next gen. I can't even afford $50 games let alone HDTV. Consumers now pay so much more, excluding the days of hardware cost, now its development cost, there must be a way for developers to reduce cost. How many games can people actually buy once games reach $70+?

Well, i sorta do. I have a part time job but i also have to pay for some of my college tuition as well as car/gas/insurance. It gets a little sticky sometimes with a girlfriend as well but the only way I buy games is preorder and take 20 bucks from each check until it is released. I certainly don't have 400-500 just sitting around for gaming, no. It will be interesting though. I will probably end up getting a PS3 and "Revolution" or whatever they name it if they pull off the controller thing without many kinks. Here is what i really don't like though. All these companies are in such a frenzy to get it out, i'm worried it won't be done to the point it needs requiring updates (software and dear gosh i hope not hardware).
