Despite the fact that racing games on the PSP are about as rare as geeks at a comic book convention, we still have room in our hearts and wallets for SEGA's OutRun series, which happily will make an appearance on our widescreens sometime next year in the form of OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast. The title, which is currently in development, will feature 30 stages from OutRun 2 and the arcade-only OutRun SP and will also see versions for the PS2 and PC.The game will feature missions and a license mode, as well as the option to race six other players online in the franchise's standard lineup of licensed Ferraris. In keeping with the trend of interconnectivity, the PSP version will contain console-exclusive content, some of which can only be unlocked by hooking the portable up to the PS2.
OutRun 2: Coast 2 Coast is slated to appear on a PSP near you in March 2006.
