Bryan Lee, the Xbox chief financial officer, was refreshingly candid about the head to head battle between Sony's PS3 and the Xbox 360 saying, "If Sony does hit the specs which they've
said they'll have there's a debate. There are a couple of categories
where they outdo us, and there's several categories where we outdo
them." Then he decided to talk some trash, "On balance... our system is slightly more powerful than theirs from a hardware
standpoint." Snap! Then he takes things back down a notch offering, "I think it's fair to say they're both Ferraris." Fair enough... although Sony would surely disagree, having already promised that the PS3 will prove that P=NP, create cold fusion, and harness the power of the Sun, irrecoverably altering the very fabric of our Universe, sending our species shuddering into a global ice-age, where we will huddle in masses around our PSUs, and feed ourselves with the still warm bodies of our fallen comrades.
But "on balance" they're about equal. Oh, except PS3 won't have Live.
