Gamasutra's put their Question of the Week to a line-up of industry professionals, asking "How
successful do you think Microsoft's launch of the Xbox 360 was, in
terms of game line-up, online connectivity and overall image?" As expected, the reactions are mixed; respondents mainly cited the hardware shortages as a major negative point, with the above-average game lineup (but the lack of a "killer" title) given as a reason both for the launch's success, or to prove it was unsuccessful. Additional plus points for Microsoft were the huge media hype created, their being first to market, and the 360's online connectivity. It looks like a mixed bag for the 360, and next year we'll be able to see if the PS3 or Revolution do any better or worse.
