Even though Microsoft can call the Xbox 360 launch day a success in Japan, there have been reports of less than stellar reactions to the new console among Japanese gamers. In a land that is traditionally dominated by Sony and Nintendo, this doesn't come off as a huge shocker.Just like in the US and UK, lines formed early but apparently sold slower than at other console launches in the past. Being slightly cheaper in comparison to our prices, Takeshi Tajima (you know, that BNP Paribas analyst) says most gamers are taking the "wait and see" approach to the Xbox 360.
