CDC develops disaster training games

CDC develops disaster training gamesThe US Center for Disease Control and Prevention is funding a series of simulation games that help prepare health workers for disaster relief. From the article: "The [game] uses a first-person point of view to present real-life challenges that mimic a variety of scenarios. The man in the image [to the right] is explaining to a health care worker that his wife is pregnant and he is very worried about her exposure to anthrax. The healthcare worker must choose the best response."

Are games becoming the virtual reality of the late nineties, minus the goofy helmets and power gloves?
