Polish developer NIBRIS has been in the news before, flashing screens from their forthcoming Revolution shooter, Raid Over the River. At that stage, they didn't have a publisher yet, but it looks like things have improved for them. Not only have they secured a deal with an undisclosed publisher, but they've also let out that the game is being completed "exclusively for the Nintendo DS and the upcoming next-generation Revolution console". (emphasis added for dramatic, heart stopping effect). While the news of a new DS shooter is appreciated, the fact that it's being developed for the Revolution as well has me intrigued. Since both systems represent Nintendo's off-beat drive for innovation in the games industry, does this signal some interconnectivity between the two systems? Could a game's control system be that easily adapted to move between the DS and the Revolution? Perhaps a Wi-Fi link up between the two versions of the game could yield some interesting results? How many more completely speculative questions could I possibly ask? Two more? Maybe one more? When does this end already?
