While the title the controller is based on might not have been very well
received, the controller looks to be a hit. Gaming Horizon
attended the NubyTech's exclusive launch party in Los Angeles last Thursday and
said, "the Shadow the Hedgehog
controller proved to be incredibly functional as well as aesthetically pleasing, with its smaller size, sleek design,
and slick artwork." IGN's review praised the controller
saying, "Though the game has some serious flaws, NubyTech's controller does not, and indeed honors the Sonic legacy
rather than milks it."
If you have any interest in picking up a collectible controller, you could do worse than the Shadow the
Hedgehog controller, though Gamecube and Xbox Shadow fans need not apply, this puppy is PlayStation 2
only. Then again, it raises the question, why would you want the tie-in controller featuring a character whose only
game was universally panned?
