The DS version of Peter Molyneaux's amazingly intuitive creature simulation or overhyped piece of garbage (depending on who you ask) is coming along pretty well, as indicated in these latest screenshots posted by DS-x2. Black & White places you in the role of a god raising a gigantic creature that acts as your avatar in the world of puny, puny men. Just like the traditional adventure genre, a sim game such as this lends itself well to the DS touch screen - it's as close an approximation to mouse input as you can get with handheld gaming. If this game really wants to impress, it should incorporate some of the other DS features. Not that we don't like the idea of flicking villagers into the ocean with a stylus, we'd have even more fun if we could just tell our creature to do it for us. A Nintendogs-like interface with the usual "sit" and "roll over" replaced with "stomp" and "destroy" would be ideal.
