Here in the States we know that gamers in Japan have had certain reactions to the Xbox 360, what with the amount of units still left over in the land of the rising sun. SPOnG got the chance to poll around and see exactly what Japanese gamers thought about Microsoft's console. Most gamers over there are, in fact, pretty enthusiastic, but they had some thoughts to share. One of the main things they are still waiting for is the right software. They need their killer apps too (even though one person requested localized FPS games from the US). Another issue for their reaction was promotion: a few feel Microsoft didn't quite get the message across about what the 360 was capable of, as bad promotion led casual gamers to shy away.
And let's not forget brand trends. The original Xbox left a bad taste in their mouth for being faulty and eating up their games. From the article: "The problem Xbox had in the beginning is still holding people back from buying Xbox and Xbox 360."
