Yesterday we teased you with rumors that Mistwalker would be developing a third RPG for the Xbox 360. That was only half-true. Mistwalker will be releasing a third RPG entitled Cry On, but development will be handled by Cavia with Hironobu Sakaguchi serving as producer and Nobuo Uematsu serving as composer. Cavia is working on another 360 exclusive entitled Bullet Witch, which will be an action game. The third title is an action-adventure called Vampire's Rain and is being developed by Artoon for both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
These three titles signal Microsoft's understanding and allowance for the preferences and sensibilities of the Japanese gamer. While Halo might be the cat's pajamas in the Western world, it has little following in Japan and 360 exclusive titles will need to reflect that.
