Settle for a DS?! That's the
advice of Fort Wayne's local rag, The News Sentinel, in a recent article on how to handle the great Xbox shortage of
2005. While no self-respecting DS fanboy would ever settle, the local newspaper does an admirable job of talking up the
dual screen wonder's finer points."With its unique, vertically configured dual screens (one is touch-sensitive), plus voice-recognition skills, Nintendo's DS has encouraged software developers to think outside the box. Ripe examples include the audience-expanding series of three virtual pet Nintendogs simulations; the nutty, role-playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney; and the correctly proportioned (on two screens) Metroid Prime Pinball, also enhanced with a plug-in rumble pack."
If they're touting the DS' "voice recognition skillz," we're not too sure that the newspaper actually took the time to play the games they mention. But, as the old saying goes, "any press is good press."
