A whole new Syphon Filter, with slick graphics and support for up to 8 players online? Sounds pretty nice already. If they implement headset support (as they did with SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo), then that would certainly put this package over the top.

Here's the problem. Syphon Filter has never been good, so why get excited for a portable version of a crappy series?

The story for syphon filter was strong, and yeah, the controls were goofy, but i have always had fun with the games(okay, 3 wasnt good at all but still) its something different, for portable, and hopefully they dont make it a freekin card battle game(MGS:AC!D)

Here's the problem with Syphon Filter...it does NOT translate over to the PSP. You have BOTH direction controls on one side of the PSP...how are you going to move and shoot effectively?
With Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex on the PSP, they tried using the buttons to have you move and turn. Unfortunately, that's as good as I see this getting for FPS and TPS games. So, no, this is absolutely NOT what I'm looking for on the PSP.

If it's got online play then it's got my interest already. More PSP games need this.

I'm with Alkaiser on this - Sony should've given the PSP a second analog Nub. Star Wars Battlefront nearly ruined the PSP for me after trying to adapt to it's control schemes... bleck

I do not see a bright future in this lineup. It's story has already fallen ill and the gameplay is rather annoying.

I still have hope for the PSP game line-up for the PSP. I think games like these will inspire more online play. Especially associating the headset with them. SOCOM served to prove that online play with the PSP is awesome.

My biggest problem with a lot of the PSP games that have released is the control. The little analogue nub just doesn't cut it. I have a feeling Syphon Filter will be plagued with the same problem, which is unfortunate, as I love the game.
To be perfectly honest though, I've always found games on Sony's systems to control rather sluggishly. I don't know what it is, but nothing ever seems to move fluidly. Maybe it's just me...
