Nothing screams "geek" like flashing your Xbox Live Diamond card on a date.
But heck, a discount's a discount—and fine dining can be expensive. Today, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox
Live Diamond card, available free-of-charge to Xbox Live subscribers (note: the program will launch next year). The
Diamond card will be personalized with your gamertag and will grant you discounts at participating retailers, including
McDonald's, Ticketmaster, and Timberland.

Wow, what lengths will M$ go to to get more consumers into the whole "live" scene? I bet they'll be promoting National "Live" Day now.

Yah, I normally don't take my dates to McDonalds, so I think I'll be fine...

what are you guys talking about. the definition of romanticism (the act of being romantic) is as follows: "to take ones meaningful other out for a lovely evening including repast with McDonalds et al."
It doesnt get much classier than that.

Ahh, I can see the marketing machine at work... Rap videos with gangstas rollin' with X360s in their pimped rides with their custom Timbs, cruising to get tickets to show from a ticketmaster outlet, smoking it up they get the munchies and roll up to MacD's, make a big order and whip out their Live Diamond Discount card...
"Yo, we be rollin' wit DIAMONDS, yo!"
Xbox Live Diamond, it's pimp.

No no no. You take your date to McDonalds, flash your Diamond Live card, and then whip out your DS's and play MarioKart. Then realize that McDonalds sucks and go somewhere else.

Microsoft's Gift -
1.Your own card...
2.That's not all...
3.The best part...
To summarize, 1. and 3. mean you get a card, (yes another pointless piece of plastic for your crammed wallet), and it's free! ( how do they do it?)
Number 2. Is the meat of this prestigious card - You get a discount in continuous discount haunts like McGonalds.
How will they ever turn a profit if it's always about the 14 year old child?

wow this has been known about for like...over a month I think.
Anyway they did change the name to diamond card and redid the site, it used to be called perks card, hence the url.
who cares what people think when 'flash' a card. is free, you get discounts, and its personalized.

Who would say no to a free discount card?
Would have been an excellent card if it provided discounts for more game retailers rather than restaurents though.
Not available in Canada =(
