It
really has more to do with Microsoft's new version of Windows than it does with the 360; nevertheless, it's undeniably
cool... and pointless!%uFFFD On the annual Holiday MSDN video, Microsoft engineers Don Box and Chris Anderson wrote up
some code to interface between their wired USB Xbox 360 controller and a rather impressive looking piano. It uses the
x-axis on the left thumb stick to control the pitch, the y-axis for velocity, the right-trigger controls the sustain
pedal, and then they appear to just buttonsmash the face buttons.I must warn you though to turn off the video around the 6 minute mark. Why? Well, they decide to recreate Bing Crosby and David Bowie's rendition of Little Drummer Boy... only with new lyrics:
Code they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new platform to use, pa rum pum pum pum
The finest apps we'll bring, pa rum pum pum pum
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
