Actually the beta testers have already been chosen, unfortunately.

I don't quite understand how a vector based arcade cabinet compares to a game like this? I think it would have been better to compare it to the other hand-drawn game that came out recently: Alien Hominid.

Although I'm not spectacular at shooters, I absolutely love them. It would be pretty rad of a version of this eventually came to the PC.

its not the first game to use this art style, Ive seen oh-so many indy games using a sketch style.

It certainly looks fun! Something to try out my new 24" monitor with. soon as its released mind you.

n3rrd,

The game I posted featured the "tethered" 2 player feature in 1982.

Quite fun actually. Consistant fave of my friends when we fire up the Mame cabinet.

ive worked on and off on a scetchlike platform game and a sketchlike rpg for years. Just don't have the time or programming talent to keep working on them constantly. Damn people beating me to things! damn my laziness.

Hopefully the sound effects are all done by mouth. Like that one cartoon I saw on Cartoon Sushi years ago. That would rule.

Speaking of games that look like a sketch, there is an unlockable mode in Cel Damage that makes everything look like a black and white sketch.

As a long time Mac user I have enjoyed many of Ambrosia's past titles and I have to agree with PancakesHouse in saying that most of their titles would make awesome additions to Xbox Live Arcade (especially Maelstrom). Be sweet to see Airburst Extreme there as well.
