According to Dictionary.com, a gaffe is slang for "a clumsy social
error." It is with this in mind that we discuss Next Generation's selection of the top 5 gaming gaffes of 2005.
Author Matt Matthews is asking the reader to "look with a critical eye, and see those so-called achievements for what
they really are: failures. Utter failures."The failures, as he deems it, consist of two console launches, a Revolution-ary unveiling, a deceitful Madden commercial, and (was there any doubt?) Hot Coffee. Hot Coffee and the Madden commercial are screw-ups we can agree on, but the Revolution controller? The Xbox 360 and PSP launches? We are not so sure, and we bet you could think of some more deserving events of the year for the top 5 list.
