According to the January '06 issue of Playstation Magazine, Epic have gone on record in saying that Unreal Tournament 2007 will be a launch title for the Playstation 3. Interestingly the company hadn't officially announced that the game would be available on the platform until now, despite showing a version of the game at E3 in May this year. The Playstation 3 itself doesn't actually have a firm release date as of yet: with Sony continuing to quote a Spring 2006 launch. Gamespot notes that Epic's other game destined for a next-gen console (Gears of War for the Xbox 360) could conceivably be released after Unreal Tournament 2007 hits the PS3, as long as the game maintains its general "2006" release date.
Dates, dates, everywhere, but not a single one to eat!
