According to UK based NGC Magazine, the upcoming Zelda: Twilight Princess for the GameCube will be
playable on Nintendo's Revolution console using the new controller. The magazine also confirms a November 2006 release
for the next-gen system as speculated. From the article: "NGC can exclusively reveal that Twilight Princess will be playable on the forthcoming Revolution using the upcoming console’s unique controller. Zelda will actually ‘bring in’ the Revolution by launching fairly close to the new system, which is set to be released around November of next year, according to our sources."
The game is still scheduled for a spring 2006 release on the GameCube.

That's still an ambiguous statement. Just because you can control Link using the Revolution controller doesn't imply that they'll take advantage of the new methods of control. That picture they Photoshopped is completely misleading if this doesn't turn out to be the case. The Revolution is backwards compatible with GameCube games. They will be short changing GameCube owners if they add features or methods of control that can only be done with the new controller, and I don't think they'll be doing that based on the previous official Nintendo statements. Still, you'll be able to play the game on the Revolution even if there are no Revolution controller exclusive controls, which is what I think is being said here by Nintendo and being spun by 4 color rebellion.

but how can spring be fairly close to November?!
Still, bring it on! I pre-ordered Zelda on Play.com back in March! And will be buying a Revo at lauch (first system i'll ever be buying at launch). They'll have to invent new words for how im going to feel cuz "sweeeeeet" just won't cut it anymore.
Finally, waving my arms angrily at the TV will help me beat a game *tear rolls down his cheek*
I love Nintendo!

Sure, GC owners may feel 'short changed' by not having features. But it's not the first time a Zelda game has done something similar. Just on a smaller scale--Gameboy.
The legend of Zelda DX was made for the original Gameboy, and if you played it in a GB Colour you got the colour, as well as a new dungeon.
Oracle of Ages/Seasons for GBC had extra items in it if you played it on a GB Advance.
Nintendo couldn't do this with console games before, because they weren't backwards compatible like the gameboys are. It's different now.
Besides, Gamecube owners are the most likely to buy a Revolution, so it's not that big of a deal. Revolution will be an inexpensive system to buy. While he may not be directly controlling the development of this game, Zelda is Miyamoto's baby. He will ensure that the Revolution additions are top-notch.

No.2: That would be so cool it would hurt.

Not that I didn't completely love and admire Wind Waker, but you can very much tell where there were supposed to be more dungeons, one instance involving the backside of your home island comes to mind in particular. That was SUPPOSED to be a dungeon, but I guess they just didn't have time to do it. I want none of that nonsense this time around.

But... when the announced it, they said it would be the same view as resi 4 (over the shoulder) rather than the security camera type view it actualy is.

interesting theory.. if the GC's dead, what's the XBOX.. cuz GC's selling more.. and NIntendo actually made a nice profit.. whereas the XBOX division is a bottomless pit

NO THEY WON'T!!
Why?? The GC doesn't have the new controller..and you're saying.. GC owners are being ripped off because they're playing the game on a 4 year old system?!
Dude.. get your head checked.. Adding playability with the new controller is a GOOD THING.. for people who don't have a gamecube.. for gamecube owners, they're getting a great game.. one that they might long to play on a Revolution.. which can be had for around $199
There is nothing BAD about this story.. except.. um.. the Rev has more features than the GC. Duh!!

Well, kinda. I was just hoping that there'd be Zelda in the first half of 2006, and that'd be all well and good, best game ever and all that. And then we'd get Revolution in late 2006. I was hoping for them to be seperate experiences. I wanted to have my Zelda fill without the distraction of a new console.

And I trust this magazine, I've subscribed to them for six years. If this were just a rumour, they'd say so.
