Considering how far cry looked/played on the xbox, i would think the far cry team would be able to make it look awsome...

how about a nex-gen game on xbox360? Instincts was a good game, but ugh, how about somthing new.

360 launched with pc ports of a games that can already run on my 3 year old machine (although not quite as pretty).

Guess we're gonna have to wait for oblivion to experience next gen gaming... oh thats a pc port too...

This would be a tremendous piss off if they expect me to purchase some sort of 'Remix', because Instincts is pretty much what held me over until the 360 arrived. It's pretty seedy to make us suffer just so they can 'try' to cash in on an updated version, although I'd be interested to see if they could make the graphics any better, seeing as how they were absolutely amazing on the original Xbox.

I was going to pick up the Xbox version since it's dropped to $30, but now I'll have to wait.

If this turns out to be true, I'm not buying any more games until I get a Xbox 360.

My PSP will have to satisfy my new release cravings until then.

Good, good. I don't even get hot over FPS games but I thought Far Cry Instincts was one of the most under-appreciated (under-purchased) titles of this year, and the multiplayer was amazing. One of those games that makes me really sad for the developers. Maybe if they release it in a strategically advantageous time period rather then right-when-twelve-googleplex-other-games-come-out time, it will do as well as it deserves.

Yeah, I totally keep forgetting about all those super sweet Revolution FPS games. Like Half Life 2, Far Cry, Doom 3, man, the list goes on and on.

Oh, wait... I forgot. You're a moron.

I'm really fed up with the way Microsoft are holding back backward compatibility on titles which have either a sequel on Xbox 360 or an Xbox 360 version available. I already bought these games and I'd like to play them on Xbox 360 without a problem.

I'm thinking about Far Cry Instincts, Project Gotham 1/2 and Burnout 2/3/Revenge here. I don't care if there's a new one coming - I paid good money for these titles on Xbox and stopping me from playing them on Xbox 360 because there's a 360 version available just isn't on.

Just ensuring our doubts that the 360 really goes in circles.

Wow, amazing to see the responses to a NEWS STORY from such a REPUTABLE SOURCE. Oh, wait, it's a game store sales sheet.

It was a nice game, but not worth buying again.

On a different note: The 360's backwards compatibility uses a single emulator that they keep fine tuning. This caused some problems when they released their first update, breaking one or two games. MS has stated that the problems with many detailed games (like Far Cry) is the fact that the developers used programming tricks to squeeze every last drop of Xbox graphics - making them more difficult to emulate.
